That’s why we are offering the Benzinga Scholarship for Future Leaders in Finance. Our team will select one student to receive our $1,000 scholarship based on essay submissions. We encourage all college students of all backgrounds who want to pursue a major or career in finance to apply. Essay Topic – Submit a 1,000-1,500 word essay. You may choose one of the two topics below: Describe how and why the finance industry can or should drive social change in today’s world Where do you think financial technology is headed? How might it foster change in the future? Requirements for eligibility Rising college freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors who plan to or are currently pursuing undergraduate majors in finance, business, or similar fields Applicants must be at least 18 years of age Awards may only be used for undergraduate study at two-year or four-year universities located in the United States The Award may be used for tuition, housing, textbooks, or other college-related expenses Application process: Please attach the following in an email to scholarships@benzinga.com: In the body of the email, include your first and last name, mailing address, email, phone number, and 100-150 words explaining why you’re passionate about finance Write Scholarship + your first and last name as the subject Your essay in PDF format Current college or high school transcript to verify identity and class standing in PDF format

• Must be a high school senior with a 2.5 cumulative high school GPA or have a GED score of 600 or higher or HiSET score of 50 or higher.
• Must enroll in 12 or more NMSU-A credit hours.
• Must be a New Mexico resident who will graduate from a New Mexico high school or receive a New Mexico GED or HiSET.
• Home-schooled students will have to take the New Mexico GED or HiSET to qualify for this scholarship.
• This scholarship will pay ONLY for classes taken at the Alamogordo campus. It will not cover any classes taken at other campuses.

- Must be a degree-seeking female student enrolled at NMSU-Alamogordo.
- Must have completed at least 12 college credit hours and have had at least one-semester break at some point in her college attendance.
- Must be enrolled in no fewer than six semester hours (online classes accepted).
- Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the most recent 12 hours of college credit.
- This must be documented by an official transcript from the Registrar’s Office or an internet copy containing the official letter stating it is a certified valid transcript.
- Must be able to give a brief description of financial need.
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
