Office of Curriculum and Assessment

Office of Assessment supports and facilitates campus efforts to collect, maintain, communicate and distribute information on the assessment of student learning.

Continuing Education

Continuing Education offers a wide variety of non-credit courses for lifelong learning in the areas of Community Education and Professional Development/Training. Additionally, Continuing Education offers Workforce Development, which includes Contractual and/or customized training.

Pathways and Career Education(PACE)

The mission of Pathways and Career Education is to assist adults in becoming fully functional in their basic skills, in obtaining the knowledge and skills necessary for gainful employment and self-sufficiency, and in successfully completing their secondary school credential and transition to post-secondary education or career training.

Online Quality Assurance

Online Quality Assurance guides the ongoing efforts of online course quality design. Most importantly, the Quality Assurance Team’s goal is to help, in a peer-mentoring environment, all Alamogordo faculty meet Quality Matters Standards to assist our campus in its mission to serve students.

Academic Support Center

The Academic Support Center promotes independence in learning through one-on-one and group tutoring. It also supports and reinforces instructors’ classroom teaching. Ten computer workstations, a StarBoard, and a projector are available for student and/or faculty use.

Testing Center

NMSU-A Testing Center personnel proctor computer-based tests, such as Accuplacer, Canvas, and QuizMaster, and paper quizzes/tests in support of NMSU-A faculty.

Online Learning Center

The mission of the Online Learning Center is to support the online learning activities of NMSU-A’s students and faculty. We are actively engaged in exploring enhancements for the online experience and supporting the latest technologies that support best practices for the online student.

Townsend Library

The David H. Townsend Library contains over 50,000 books, over 170 magazine/journal subscriptions,nearly 2,000 New Mexico State Documents, and several thousand audiovisual titles.By promoting information literacy, providing resources and services, David H.Townsend Library supports the academic goals of NMSU-A in serving its diverse communities.
