Online courses by nature require a lot of writing. The expectation is for you to use Standard English which includes proper sentence structure, grammar, paragraphing, etc. You may want to visit the Academic Support Center in person or utilize their online tutoring. Tutoring is free to students and available day, evening, and weekends. The Academic Support Center provides face-to-face help and online help. Utilize this service if you need help with any of the work in this class, especially the writing.
Technical Skills
This is an online course, so it is imperative you have some basic computer skills such as manipulating files commonly used in word processing systems, using email properly, attaching files to discussion posts, email messages, or assignment areas, completing searches on the internet, etc.
You must be familiar with Canvas. If not, you need to get help from the Online Learning Center on the Alamogordo campus or watch this Student Canvas Overview Video. I am always available to answer questions, but my focus will be on the coursework and not your computer knowledge.
