Medical Office Administration & Management - Certificate of Achievement

The   Medical Office Administration & Management Certification of Achievement is a course
designed to provide the theory, concepts and skills needed in preparing students for entry-level
medical assisting positions.


The certificate requires successful completion of AHS 280 Medical Office Administration &
Management. The course includes skills, hands-on practice, and supervised clinical hours in the work
environment in ambulatory care settings. Attendance to the class, lab, and clinical must be 100%.


Clinical time consists of  40 hours in the clinical setting and is completed in addition to the time spent in
class and lab. Successful coursework completion requires a grade of "C" (grade score of 80%) or better
to pass, and a grade of pass on all skills check-lists. Upon successful completion, a student has the
opportunity to test for National Health career Certification of Medical Office Administration &
Management.
