For Ages: 18+ Cost: $20.00 Learn the correct way to prune your plants for maximum health and how to pick trees and shrubs for planting now, during the dormant season.

For Ages 18+ Cost: $30.00 This course will teach 4 things that control the camera; Exposure, Aperture, ISO (used to be ASA), and Shutter Speed; along with understanding how they interact with each other. Students will learn to use their digital camera in Manual Mode and use RAW files.

Also, care and maintenance of the digital camera. All students must have their own digital camera. No point & shoot cameras because they cannot be set up completely manual. Thank you!

For Ages: 18+ Cost: $30.00 Learn how to cast on, knit and other used knitting stitches.

We will start with knitting a scarf to keep you warm and cozy. Or to give as a gift you can show off as your first knitting project!

Build a story in your own words and save it for you and your family. We'll start with a brief outline, and use assisted edits to build a story through the class periods.

Learn to play the piano the way professionals do-using chords.

This course will be an introduction to the sport of soaring (Flying Gliders). Students will learn how this enchanting sport works and, if desired, how they might participate. Technical aspects will be covered as necessary but the emphasis will be on the challenge, sheer beauty and fun experienced by the participants.

Students will participate in warm up drills using numerous calisthenics and Hung Gar Kung Fu basics. Conditioning will include cardiovascular, forearms, and shins. Course will include history, theory, fight strategy, self-defense, grab and grappling techniques. Emphasis is on lifelong wellness. All classes are taught by Sifu Smith who has 50 years of experience in martial arts and is an Advisor to the AAU United States Wushu Kung Fu Federation.

For Ages: 18+ Cost: $10.00 Coloring is a healthy way to relieve stress. It calms the brain and helps your body relax. This can improve motor skills, sleep and fatigue while decreasing body aches, heart rate and respiration.

Recent studies have shown mindful coloring to reduce anxiety and depression, so it can be a helpful tool in managing unhelpful thoughts and feelings.

Mindful coloring can be used as a form of mindfulness and art therapy, which can improve focus and attention as well as help process your emotions.

Join me for a coloring experience filled with joy, laughter and peace.

Bring your own supplies if you choose but crayons and coloring pages will be provided.

Handouts on Stress Management also provided.

Instructor: Becky Ross. Nurse aide skills with emphasis on a bio-psychosocial-cultural approach to client care.

Practice of these skills is provided in the laboratory as well as at a clinical site. Successful completion of the course prepares and qualifies the student to take the NACES certification examination.

Requires a C or better to pass. Restricted to Community Colleges campuses only.

Instructor: Becky Ross. Basic theory and skills of phlebotomy following OSHA and Center for Disease Control guidelines.

Prepares students for the requirements of testing for the ASCP certification exam and employment in a healthcare organization as a phlebotomist in licensed settings.

Laboratory hours include infection control skills & practice, patient assessment & teaching, and practice in venipuncture.

Clinical time includes clinical laboratory processes and operations, patient assessment, venipuncture, and exposure to clinical policies and procedures. Upon successful completion students are workforce ready.

Requires C or better to pass. Restricted to Community Colleges campuses only.

For Ages: 18+ Cost: $60.00, NM Sifu or Teacher Ray Abeyta, has nearly 40 years learning and teaching Tai Chi, QiGong, Meditation and related arts.

He is a Vietnam Era, USAF Veteran and has worked with Veterans in El Paso at WBAMC, he also taught the EPFD for nearly a decade. While talking about one's issues is helpful, there are other ways to remove trauma and stress from the body, mind and spirit.

Join us to learn how easy and effective this can be in relieving problems within us.
