Today, we would like to recognize Clara Belle Williams 
Clara Belle was the first African American graduate of @nmsu (at the time New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts) 
She earned a Bachelor's in English in 1937. She taught at Booker T. Washington School in Las Cruces for over 20 years.
